Rye P.A.

Rye P.A. is a Rye Beer. Pours thin and medium red with a finger of white foamy head that dissipated quickly and left some lacing. Nose is roastiness, taste is roasted rye and a bit of sweetness, not too bitter. OK mouthfeel. Decent and refreshing.

10 gallon recipe, all-grain

Ingredients:
7 lbs 2-row
7 lbs Munich
3 lbs Rye Malt
2 lbs Carapils®
2 lbs Vienna
1 lb. Caramel 80L
1 lb. Torrified Wheat
12 oz. Special B
4 oz. Chocolate Malt

Instructions:

Infusion mash 45 minutes at 150°F.

1 oz. Centennial hops 10.0%AA @ first wort
1oz. Amarillo hops 8.0%AA @ 60 minutes
1 oz. Fuggle hops 4.0%AA @ 30 minutes
1 oz. Liberty hops @ end of boil
1 oz. Hallertau hops @ whirlpool

Pitch with White Labs California V (WLP051) slurry, ferment at around 70°F.
